New Monster Hunter PSP Game Sells Over 1 Million Copies
Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom 2G for the PSP has sold over a million copies in just six days in Japan. To date, the hunting of monster’s franchise has sold over 6.3 million copies - most of those in Japan. Capcom is understandably giddy at the success of Monster Hunter and has said that they plan to bring out the franchise to multiple platforms in the future.
This lines up with their surprise announcement last year that Monster Hunter 3 for the PS3 was getting tossed in favor of a Wii version exclusive. Having not played any of the Monster Hunter games I have to ask, is this the new Final Fantasy for Japanese gamers?
