Soul Calibur 4: Darth Vader/Yoda Action
The first video of Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda, playable in Soul Calibur 4, can now be seen in this handy video. And, well it looks cool and all, I suppose. I realize that this is a bit on the finicky nerd side of things, but lightsabers actually clashing against swords….I don’t know if I can buy into that. The lightsaber would slice right through it like warm butter. It would seem that Link and Spawn that appeared in Soul Calibur 2, is still the benchmark for guest stars in Namco’s premier fighter. But then again, proper canon has never been a strong suit for the Soul Calibur series.
In any case, the game is still looking good, so out-of-place characters aside, we’re still interested.
*UPDATE* It seems that Namco has announced that Soul Calibur 4 will hit stores on July 29th in both standard and the now-expected super special edition that will set you back $80. The special version comes in a metal box, some artwork, and possible some extra content.
