Capcom Sued Over Dead Rising!
Put this story in the “I saw that coming a mile away” file, especially after Capcom filed an injunction earlier this month. Not even the disclaimer on the game’s box–which basically states, “George A. Romero, please don’t sue us!”–could stop Hollywood’s greed. Of course, with game revenues consistently out pacing those of the film industry, I can see why Mr. Richard Rubinstein might try to get some of that cash back, by any means possible. Let’s hope this isn’t “Final Justice” for this fine franchise.
