What Happens To Silicon Knights If Too Human Tanks?
Silicon Knights’ Too Human has been in developed for eons. Yes, eons. They first announced it back in 99′ at E3 for the Playstation 1. Then is was rumored to be in development for the Gamecube. And now sometime in 2008, we’re pretty sure Too Human will at last be released on the 360. At least, that’s the plan.
President and founder of Silicon Knights, Denis Dyack, says of the possible commerical failure of his much ballyhood game:
“I don’t want to be distracted by some negative possibility when I can focus on the positive,” said Dyack when posed with the question of the game failing. “So, yeah, it would be really, really bad, and in some sense… Would it kill us? I don’t know. We’d probably recover.”
Denis is a confident man though, I mean you’d have to be if you showed off the game that more than likely took years off his life, only to have it panned 2 years ago at E3. He says about the recent game delays:
“And what I think - it’s really interesting, that I didn’t know that, that all the major hits had been significantly delayed… Hopefully that will bode well for Too Human,”
Maybe Denis, but only if your game is, you know, good. Or well marketed. That seems to work regardless of game quality.
